The Spring Splicing Symposium is THE event that started it all!  Here is your chance to lean the art and skill of making your own splices in all your climbing ropes and hang out with with a great group of climbers and arboriculture professionals.  If you are in the arboriculture business, this is an event you can't miss!

Where:       
 
The Spring Splicing Symposium will take place at the Knot & Rope Supply shop in Perrysburg Ohio.  Home to all the arborist rope you could dream of.  The shop has plenty of space for lots of hands on work with many different types of arborist rope. Perrysburg is just outside Toledo Ohio and is easy to get to from anywhere.
 
When:    
 
June 2 -3, 2010.  This is a Wednesday and Thursday.
 
How Much: 
 
$175.00, same as last year
 
What's included:
 
All the rope and hardware you will need to make a split tail lanyard, eye & eye lanyard, safety lanyard, dead eye sling, and friction saver.     
          
Meals for Tuesday lunch, Tuesday dinner and Wednesday lunch.
          
Two FULL days of hands on instruction covering 24 strand, 16 strand, tenex and 3 strand ropes.

Splicing Symposium T-Shirt and other loot to be announced.

AND if you aren't careful, you might learn some tree climbing tips and techniques during some off session climbing....
 
What else is available / other attractions?
After the splicing sessions you can join us for tree climbing at either our local host tree or at the site of the 2010 Ohio TCC to be held during the upcoming weekend.
 
Other local points of interest like the Toledo Zoo, Comedy Club, shopping, canoeing or kyaking on the Maumee River and historic sites like a tour of Fort Meigs.
 
ACCOMMODATIONS:
 
To keep costs low, this is primarily a camping event. Our campground is located on the Maumee river only about 5 miles away from the shop. If you want to opt for a hotel room, there are hotels about 1 mile from the shop ranging in price from cheap to nice.  Bring a tent.
